Welcome FELC Families,

My name is Leslie Kozich and I am honored to be the Principal of Forestlawn Early Learning Center and lead the littlest Cardinals and staff in the district.
 
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (PK-3), 4-5 Generalist Endorsement, and K-12 Reading Endorsement from Baldwin Wallace University. I also earned my Master’s in Literacy and completed my Educational Administration coursework through Baldwin Wallace as well.

Before pursuing administration I taught grades K, 1, and 2 in a multi-age classroom for one year and taught 2nd grade for six years. Additionally,  I spent one year as a middle school literacy implementation specialist where I taught reading intervention and coached other teachers. I'm proud to be a part of Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City Schools and make a positive impact as the FELC Principal!
 
Preschool and Kindergarten is an exciting time for you and your child! Students are adjusting to new environments, routines and expectations. We want to make this transition as smooth as possible. The Forestlawn staff and I thank you for entrusting us with your child. We truly want these years to be filled with memorable experiences. I look forward to building relationships with each little Cardinal and ensuring all children reach their full potential socially, emotionally and academically this school year.
