Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! My name is Colleen Mudore and I am very honored and excited to be the new Principal of Knollwood Elementary. I am excited for the upcoming school year and can not wait to meet each of you and your children. 

 

Graduating from Kent State University, Mary Grove College, and Ursuline College, I have spent over fifteen years teaching in Westlake. I began my career as an intervention specialist, then taught both fifth and sixth grade math, social studies, and language arts. I then became the International Baccalaureate Coordinator for the Primary Years Program in Westlake.  I began my administrative path at Firelands Elementary and then spent five years in Avon Local Schools as the principal of the Avon Early Learning Center.  It is a privilege to continue my administrative path as the principal of Knollwood Elementary. I know this year will be an amazing year!

 

I pride myself on being a good communicator as well as a good listener. We appreciate the opportunity to be a valuable part of your child’s learning experience and we thank you for putting your trust in us. We will care for your child as our own and work to make sure each child grows academically as well as socially and emotionally.
